Play Date Cafe Challenge # 53

I had to think about this one for a while....and I really like what I came up with!  So here is my take on the color challenge...black and white..with a splash of burgandy!!!  I hope you like it as well!

Card is made from Hero Arts layering paper in snow. The black cardstock is Papertrey Ink in true black. I stamped the black cardstock in white ink from Memories. The stamp is Hero Arts Fabulous Flourish S5449.  "Love You" sentiment stamp is old..not sure of the manufacture. I used burgandy ink from Hampton Art. With the same ink, I inked the edges of the doily. The doily is from the grocery store. The pearl brad is from Making Memories. The square rhinestone buckle is from Horizon purchased from Michaels. The ribbon and gem swirl is from Michaels. Thanks for looking!!!

I just received this stamp set from Papertrey Ink.....I love them!!!!!!!!!!!
I also wanted to do another Christmas card in non traditional colors.
All paper is from Bazzill Basics...the kraft paper is swiss dot embossed.
Christmas tree is stamped in Aloe Vera Versa Magic Dew Drop, the trunk was stamped with Tsukineko galaxy gold.  The stars and sentiment are stamped with galaxy gold and VersaMark Watermark stamp pad then heat embossed with Ranger queen's gold powder. Gems and pearls are from Michaels.  Buttons are from PTI.

Halloween Treat Bags

I made these for my daughter's kindergarten class. I only had two days to assemble something for 22 girls!  So I chose to make these treat bags and just filled them with candy.

I just received my new stamp set from Elusive Images titled Winter Birds. I love them!!!!
My card was made from red cardstock. I used spellbinders dies labels three . The Merry Christmas sentiment is Hero Arts CL359. The inks I used are jet black and galaxy gold from Tsukineko. The green ink is Hampton Art. I added green glitter from Martha Stewart to the vines. The red gems and gold ribbon are from Michaels. The trinket pin is Maya Road. Small scroll rhinestones are from Me and My Big Ideas.  The flower and holly leaf are Prima Marketing.

Play Date Cafe Challenge #52

Just a quick blog today...this is my take on the PDCC.

I used a muted shade of yellow and orange. The pink is a carnation pink. The orange cardstock is from Core'dinations, the pink and yellow are Bazzill Basics. The kraft envelopes are Maya Road. The twine is from PTInk. The pearls are from Michaels, the doily from a grocery store. The stamp is Hero Arts CL138.  I used a flower punch from EK Success.

Holiday Card

After making several different holiday cards, most posted on flickr, I decided today's design is the one I like best. So this is the card I will send to family and friends. I hope they like them!
I made the white card from cardstock. I trimmed pink and black paper from Papertrey Ink to fit the center of the card. I used my Sure Cut Paper Trimmer from Fiskars.I love this tool!!!
To emboss the snowflakes on pink cardstock I used Versamark Watermark stamp pad and Stamp n Stuff embossing powder in kaleidoscope.It gave them a cool irridescent look! The small white flakes I used Archival Moonlight White Ink. I actually used my toaster oven to set the embossing powder!!!!
The large snowflakes are Hero Arts CG210 Enjoy the Seasons. The small snowflake is Hero ArtsCL343 Holiday Sayings. The sentimnt is Hero Arts CL359 Holiday Cheer stamped in jet black. Pearls and ribbon are from Michaels.

I don't usually make Christmas cards in non traditional colors but I loved Tami Hartley's Christmas card on the Hero Arts blogTami Hartley's Christmas card on the Hero Arts blog. It is such a bautiful card in pink, green and white!

So Happy for You

This card was made for a friend of mine. The card was made of craft paper and stamped with Papertrey Ink Beautiful Blooms II in brown ink. I used the same flowers and stamped them in vibrant shades of yellow, magenta and aqua. I added coordinating buttons and adhered them to the card with foam dots. So Happy for You sentiment is from PTI Scattered Showers. I finished the card with a green bow and added aqua gems to the centers of the flowers. Thanks for looking!

WOW! I did it!

This is my first blog post! Thanks to the ladies on flickr, their advice and encouragement gav me the push I needed to do this!  So I'll get right down to it. Tonight I created  bookmarks for my daughters. The strawberry bookmark is stamped with Hero Arts Simply the best/ strawberry and a flower from Papertrey Ink Beautiful Blooms II. The sentiment is from Hero Arts Everyday Sayings. The inks I used are StazOn jet black, distress inks in peeled paint and fired brick. I used colored pencils to color strawberries and flowers and added pearl accents. For the umbrella bookmark I used stamps from Hampton Arts/ rain boots, umbrella and rain drop from Papertrey Ink Scattered Showers, flower from PTI Beautiful Blooms II,  dragonfly and sentiment from Hero Arts Good Fortune and Everyday Sayings. The inks I used are StazOn jet black, Hero Arts soft stone and soft blossom and a darker blue ink from studio g. I used colored pencils for umbrella, flower and boots and added pearls. Then I painted them with clear rock candy crackle paint. After they dried, I glued them to black matting.
